This amazing chocolate bar uses natural sweeteners to create a sweet very chocolately bar that delivers on every level and looks amazing. Try this. It will change your possibly overly sugary life.
120g Unsalted butter
120g Xylitol (I use Total Sweet – you can find it in all supermarkets)
60g Stevia Sweetener (I use Truvia also very easy to find)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
30g Ground Almonds
50g Whole Shelled Pistachios
40g Macadamia Nuts
3 heaped tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
Pinch salt
Place all the ingredients, apart from the nuts into a large saucepan and melt over a gentle heat whilst stirring occasionally. Once melted, give it a good mix and remove from heat. Add the nuts and stir.
Occasionally the butter separates slightly – this is fine and will re-incorporate once the nuts are added and the mixture cools.
Pour into a tray (I use a small baking tray lined with baking paper) and spread out to around 2 cm thick.)
Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
